Welcome to the first edition of Inside Tech, Rocky Mountain Tech Team's periodic eletter. This is our way to let you know what you should be thinking about in the tech world, let you know about all the services we provide, and give you a chance to get to know our team a little better. Enjoy.

Vista is here, but wait...

Rocky Mountain Tech Team Microsoft released its long-awaited new operating system.

After years of pushing back the release date, Microsoft recently released Vista, the new upgrade to Windows XP. Rocky Mountain Tech Team has demonstrated the new product, and recommends users to hold off on buying all Vista products. It's not quite ready for prime time.

Dell, who was originally only offering Vista is now providing an XP option on all new systems so you still have the XP option. And remember to contact us for best pricing on Dell systems.

If you have a new business application that requires Vista, make sure you purchase Business or Ultimate, since the Home varieties are not network friendly.

If you've already purchased a Vista installed system, give us a call at (303) 732-3200 to make sure your AntiVirus product is compatible or to help you back track to XP.

We'll let you know when we are giving Vista the thumbs up. Until then, stay tuned.

Brandon and his 200 lunchboxes

Rocky Mountain Tech TeamYou might guess Brandon Hamilton, RMTT’s fearless founder, would collect old computer parts as a hobby. But a little known fact is that his real pride and joy is his collection of over 200 vintage metal lunchboxes. His penchant for the artful genre began years ago at Maxwell St. Days Flea Market in Cedarburg, Wisconsin where Brandon grew up. While his mother shopped for furniture and other antiques, young Brandon was on his own quest, going booth-to-booth looking for the next great lunchbox to round out his collection. Brandon was lucky and had an eye for great finds. His favorites include Dr. Seuss, Scooby Doo, The Muppet Show, The Beatles, and Popeye. The more valuable ones include Howdy Doody and Tom Corbett Space Cadet. You wouldn’t believe how much an old metal lunch box can be worth. Can you say ‘lunchbox tycoon?’

Did you grow up packing a metal lunchbox? Next time you see Brandon, ask him if he has your favorite.
