Community Shares Summer Celebration 2019
Wednesday night, Community Shares celebrated their 30th anniversary at their Summer Celebration event in downtown Denver. Community Shares is a workplace giving campaign allowing businesses to offer employees the ability to donate to a portfolio of non-profits directly from their paychecks. Rocky Mountain Tech Team members who participate in the program were invited to share a table for some drinks, laughs and fun.
RMTT sponsored a table at the annual fundraiser last night at the Stanley Marketplace in Stapleton. This is a great organization and the venue was really cool and worth a visit for their restaurants, shopping and social activities. Ben, Chris Dotson and John attended, representing RMTT and we were able to catch up with several clients and meet some new ones.
A huge bonus for being there was the presentation from Carlotta Walls LaNier, one of the Little Rock Nine, who provided a glimpse of a major part of American history. Read more at The Little Rock Nine – Courage in the Pursuit of Equal Education.
Started in 1986, the first campaign raised $3,500 and last year hit $3.2 million for Colorado charities. To learn more about starting a workplace giving campaign with Community Shares, visit their website.
