Start with reinstalling Office, ensuring to use MS Fixit that goes through and deletes all keys, or just revo it – REBOOT BETWEEN UNINSTALL/INSTALL

Before starting Dentrix, open Word, go to Trust Center Settings and set Trusted Locations to Allow Trusted Locations on my network, then add new location and add path of where your docs are (probably \\[servername]\DTXCommon\Doc

Now you can start Dentrix and you should be good to go.

If things still aren’t working, you might be seeing an issue with MS Office versions, try this:

REGEDIT > HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{00020905-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}\8.7 ensure there is either a key for x86 or x64, not both – if both exist, backup one you don’t need and delete

If there are other version 8.6, etc. backup/delete the ones you don’t need

8.7=MSO 2016

8.6=MSO 2013

8.5=MSO 2010

etc…
