Force-Selecting a default scanner in Ortho2

To use this method you must not rely on WIA drivers or have multiple scanners installed

  1. Remove unneeded devices in devmgmt.msc
  2. Remove any old/unneeded drivers not listed in devmgmt.msc under \windows\twain_32
  3. Disable Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) or stisvc under services.msc
  4. Relaunch Ortho2 and it should “default” correctly assuming no other devices show up in available list
